NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police on Friday released surveillance footage of a trio of robbers wanted in a violent home invasion in the Bronx last week.

Just after 11:40 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, three suspects entered an apartment building located in the vicinity of East 172nd Street and Stratford Avenue in Soundview, authorities said.

Once inside the building, the trio forcefully gained entry into an apartment through the front door and displayed firearms to a 41-year-old man and a 47-year-old man, cops said.

The suspects proceeded to strike the 47-year-old man with a firearm and then shot the 41-year-old man twice in the abdominal region, the NYPD said.

The suspects stole property from the victims, which included $4,500 and jewelry before they exited the building and fled westbound on foot to parts unknown.

Both victims were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi with serious physical injuries.
