NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for two men accused of shooting their victims in the buttocks during a botched robbery on a Bronx street last month the NYPD said Thursday.
At approximately 4 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7,, a 25-year-old man and a 30-year-old man were approached by the two suspects in front of 1880 University Ave. Morris Heights, officials said.
The suspects displayed a firearm and attempted to take property from the victims. When it was unsuccessful, they discharged the firearm, striking the victims in the buttocks, authorities said.
The men fled on a black moped traveling northbound on University Avenue.
EMS transported the victims to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
