NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A search for an armed man who was involved in a robbery near Dongan Hills train station on Staten Island on Friday afternoon led schools in the area to go on lockdown.
The incident sparked a large police response around the neighborhood including bringing in police helicopters and K-9 units. The police recovered the weapon but the man fled from the scene, according to a source reported by Silive.
