NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police continued to search Monday for a suspect who they say set a man on fire in Times Square early Sunday morning.

The 45-year-old victim was at West 41st Street and Seventh Avenue around 4 a.m. when his attacker threw an unknown liquid on him and set him on fire, according to police and fire officials.

Police officers who were in the area quickly responded and put out the flames using an extinguisher from their NYPD cruiser, police said.
