Serial spray-painter strikes cars in Queens: 70 vehicles in 2 months, NYPD hunt for suspect

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — A serial spray-painter has struck Queens.

The NYPD is looking for a man wanted for spraying painting dozens of vehicles in Astoria since March.


Police said the man first struck on March 26, when he vandalized 20 vehicles on 35th Street between 31st Avenue and Broadway in a two-hour span.

PIX11 reports the letter "A" was spray painted in red on the vehicles, which also had their tires slashed.

The vandalism spree continued on the mornings of May 18, May 19 and May 22 when police said the suspect spray painted another 45 vehicles all throughout the neighborhood.
