NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- New York City mayoral candidate Shaun Donovan was among those arrested at a George Floyd remembrance protest in Manhattan Tuesday morning.
"NYPD arrests @ShaunDonovanNYC at Black Lives Matter protest at the Holland Tunnel," Donovan's press secretary Jeremy Edwards tweeted a video fo the arrest.
The arrest occurred at Canal and West streets, near the Holland Tunnel in Lower Manhattan where a civil disobedience was planned at 9:29, for the 9 minutes and 29 seconds that Chauvin kneeled on the anniversary of Floyd’s death.
Donovan was arrested with zip ties while wearing a Black Lives Matter shirt.
In April, Chauvin was convicted of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.
