
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released photos on Thursday of one of two smash-and-grab thieves accused of wrecking a Midtown Rolex store with a hammer.
It happened at approximately 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, when the suspects entered a the store located at 510 Madison Ave., authorities said.
Acting in concert, one suspect stood at the entrance of the establishment while the other took out a hammer and used it to break open the glass display case to remove watches from within, the NYPD said.
The suspects fled before removing any watches, on foot, traveling northbound on Madison Avenue to parts unknown.
No injuries were reported in this incident and an investigator remains ongoing.
