NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A speeding driver crashed into another vehicle, killings its driver, before fleeing the scene on foot in Queens early Sunday morning, police said.
The NYPD continued to search for the driver of an Infiniti Q50 after the crash at 144th Street and Foch Boulevard in South Jamaica around 3:10 a.m. left a 53-year-old man dead.
Police said the 53-year-old was driving a Nissan Altima northbound on 114th Street when the vehicle was struck by the Infiniti, which was traveling eastbound on Foch Boulevard at a high rate of speed.

The driver of the Infiniti fled on foot after the crash, police said.
Responding officers found the 53-year-old inside the Nissan with trauma to his body. He was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He has not been identified.
Citizen App video shows the two heavily damaged vehicles at the intersection after the crash.
The crash happened less than an hour before a crash in Maspeth left a 47-year-old Lyft driver dead. A 22-year-old man was arrested on a DWI charge in that crash.
A 47-year-old man was also injured around 9:30 p.m. Saturday when a vehicle jumped a sidewalk on Leavitt Street in Flushing and struck him, police said. He was taken to New York-Presbyterian Queens in critical but stable condition. Police were still searching for the driver Sunday.
