NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A new, three-story Starbucks Reserve is opening inside of the Empire State Building next month, the company announced Tuesday.
The 23,000 square-foot coffee shop will feature hand-on workshops, tasting flights along with new and classic coffee creations and shareable plates.
“For almost three decades we have grown alongside the city of New York, where people from around the world gather to connect, explore, and share ideas,” said Mark Ring, svp of U.S. retail at Starbucks. “The Starbucks Reserve Empire State Building store will bring people together in this diverse and dynamic city over incredible coffee and food experiences that celebrate human connection, which is at the heart of the Starbucks Experience.”

Set to open Nov. 16, the Starbucks Reserve will be the only store to offer drinks made with cold pressed espresso which is a unique brewing technology exclusive to Starbucks. The method uses cold water and gentle, upward pressure to produce a softer, sweeter espresso shot similar to a slow-steeped cold brew. For those just looking for their classic americano or pumpkin spice latte, the Empire State Building location will have that too.

Also special to the location will be the availability of a full cocktail and mixology menu featuring signature drinks such as espresso martinis and new coffee-inspired cocktails exclusive to the store.
Ticketed workshops focused on coffee, beverage and mixology will be hosted at the location featuring tasting flights and food pairings.

The Empire State Building Starbucks Reserve will join other Reserve locations which are around the world in Seattle, Shanghai, Milan, Tokyo, and Chicago and New York.
