NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Cops are searching for a subway rider who allegedly beat an elderly man in the Penn Station subway stop for the Eighth Avenue line Wednesday night.

The straphanger allegedly got into an argument with an 80-year-old man at the station around 11:15 p.m., cops said Saturday.


He then punched the older man in the face before swiping his umbrella and fleeing into the station, police allege.

Police released footage of the suspect, who was wearing a blue baseball cap, a black mask, a gray shirt, a purple tie, black pants and gray sandals.
