NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A man was slashed across the forehead aboard a subway train on the Upper West Side early Tuesday by a boxcutter-wielding suspect who remains at large, police said.
The victim was on a northbound A-line train heading toward the 72nd Street station around 1:30 a.m. when another man started a dispute with him, according to police.
During the argument, the suspect whipped out a boxcutter and slashed the victim across his forehead, police said.
The attacker fled at the 72nd Street stop, while the victim remained on the train and got off at the 96th Street stop.
EMS responded to the station and treated the victim, who was said to be in stable condition.
Police haven't yet released a description or images of the suspect.
