NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 14-year-old boy survived being struck by a train while subway surfing in Queens on Friday, according to police and sources.

The teen was struck by a 7 train around 10:35 a.m. at the 103rd Street–Corona Plaza station.

He was "conscious and alert" after being transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, police said. His condition wasn't immediately known.

Sources confirmed the boy was subway surfing at the time he was struck by a Queens-bound train.

1010 WINS has reached out to the MTA for comment.

Trains on the 7 line were running with delays in both directions Friday afternoon after most service on the line was temporarily suspended earlier in the day.
