VIDEO: Suspect attacks, throws brick at man, 63, during dispute on Lower East Side

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for an unidentified man who is sought after a 63-year-old man was assaulted following a verbal dispute in Manhattan last week.

At around 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15, the victim became involved in a verbal dispute with the suspect in front of The Pickle Guys located at 357 Grand Street on the Lower East Side, officials said.


According to police, the dispute escalated when the suspect menaced the victim with a chair, struck him in the face with his hand, and then threw him to the ground.

The incident continued behind the location when the suspect re-approached the victim, who had picked up a stick.

The suspect then picked up a brick and threw it at the victim, striking him in his face, authorities said.

Officials said the suspect fled on foot.

The victim suffered a laceration to his nose and bruising to his wrist and was transported by EMS to New York Downtown Hospital in stable condition.
