NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Manhattan man was taken into custody early Friday after barricading himself inside Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center on the Upper East Side and reportedly firing shots during a three-hour standoff, police said.

The man, a 65-year-old cancer patient at the hospital, barricaded himself inside a bathroom in the urgent care facility and fired four shots into a wall around 8:45 p.m., according to WABC. No one was hurt.

The NYPD dispatched its Emergency Service Unit and Hostage Negotiation Team. No hostages were taken.
