NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 68-year-old man was arrested in connection to the fatal stabbing of a 79-year-old woman in her Manhattan apartment Friday night, officials said.

Officers found the eldery victim, Lanilda Nuez, around 10:15 p.m. unconscious and unresponsive in the bedroom of her apartment at 615 West 144th Street in Harlem.
Nuez was transported to Mount Sinai St. Luke's Hospital with multiple stab wounds to her torso where she was later pronounced dead, police said.
Cops arrested the 68-year-old suspect at the scene and two knives were also recovered.
Charges against the suspect are pending and the investigation remains ongoing.
