NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – An Amazon delivery driver is out of a job after she allegedly stole packages from a Brooklyn home, according to police and the company.

The NYPD first released video Thursday showing the driver, clad in an Amazon vest, dropping off – and then removing – packages at a home near 58th Street and 13th Avenue in Borough Park on the afternoon of Oct. 29.

Police said the driver rolled up in a company truck and carried packages up to the home, but she then took packages that had previously been delivered there.

The worker also opened and removed items from the packages she was delivering to the home, according to police.

Asked for comment, an Amazon spokesperson said the company is working with police after identifying the driver.

“We’ve reached out to apologize to the customer and help replace the stolen items,” said Branden Baribeau, an Amazon spokesperson.

“We’ve identified the driver involved and they are no longer delivering packages for Amazon. We’re also coordinating with the NYPD to assist as they continue to investigate,” Baribeau said.

Police didn’t immediately say if charges had been filed in the case.
