NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are trying to find the person responsible for smashing a glass bottle over a person's head while inside a Manhattan subway station earlier this week.
On Monday at about 11:30 p.m., police said the suspect approached a 23-year-old man at the 1 train platform of the 28th Street station in Manhattan.
According to cops, the male suspect hit the victim in the head multiple times with a glass bottle.
The victim suffered injuries to his neck, ear and head, and was transported to a hospital in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a man who is about 20-25 years old, 5'6" and 140 lbs.

He was last seen wearing a blue, waist-length jacket, light blue jeans and white sneakers, police said. Video and pictures of the suspect were released Tuesday.
