NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — The NYPD on Friday released surveillance footage of a suspect sought after a man was found slashed in subway staircase near NYU over the weekend.

At approximately 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, police responded to a 911 call of a crime in progress in the vicinity of the northbound staircase of the 8 Street – NYU subway station in NoHo.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 30-year-old man with a cut to his left hand.

EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.

No arrests arrests have been made and an investigation remains ongoing.
