NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A man is wanted for a series of chain-snatchings on Brooklyn subway trains that happened earlier this month, and police released surveillance images of the suspect on Tuesday night.
The first incident took place just after noon on Sunday, July 7 onboard a southbound L train approaching the Jefferson Street subway station.
The suspect unsuccessfully tried to grab a 21-year-old woman’s necklace from her neck, and fled in an unknown direction.
Three days later, he tried again on a Manhattan bound M train approaching the Lorimer Street subway station.
At 10:20 a.m. on July 10, the suspect yanked a 40-year-old woman’s necklace off her neck and fled in an unknown direction.
Neither victim was injured, officials said.
