
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police released a photo on Sunday of a man wanted for robbing a 17-year-old subway rider in Brooklyn earlier this month by threat of a gun.
As a northbound Q train was at the West Eighth Street–New York Aquarium subway station in Coney Island at about 5:17 p.m. on June 1, the victim was approached by a stranger displaying a gun.
When the train made it one stop north to the Ocean Parkway subway station, the robber stole the teen’s backpack and fled the train.
The victim was not injured in this incident.
The suspect is described by police as being in his late teens or early 20s.
