NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — The NYPD on Wednesday released surveillance video of an armed man sought in the fatal shooting of a man in Queens last week.
Just after 5 a.m. on Thursday, July 4, police responded to a 911 call of a person shot at 118-63 Montauk St. in St. Albans, authorities said.
Upon arrival, police observed 37-year-old Travanti Rankine with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
EMS rushed Rankine to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
There have been no arrests made at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
