NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Authorities are searching for a suspect following a deadly stabbing that took place in broad daylight in the Bronx on Monday.
It happened at approximately 1:59 p.m. in front of 3077 Third Ave. in Melrose. According to police, 53-year-old George Ennin was approached by the suspect who suddenly brandished a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times across his body.
EMS rushed Ennin to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln where he died.
Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene on foot, last seen heading westbound on East 157th Street.
The NYPD has not identified a motive for the stabbing and no arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing.
