NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released surveillance footage on Friday of a suspect sought in the fatal shooting of 16-year-old boy getting off a Queens bus earlier this week.
The suspect was last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, multi-colored sneakers and carrying a black and gray backpack, cops said.
According to officials, on Wednesday afternoon, Sincere Jazmin hopped off the bus near 171-42 Liberty Ave. in Jamaica and had some sort of interaction with another person who then shot him.
The shooting happened across the street from Detective Keith L. Williams Park, where kids were playing.
Jazmin walked a few feet across the street before collapsing, authorities said.
The teen was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in critical condition, but later succumbed to his injuries, police said.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
