NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a suspect accused of rear ending another man on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway Sunday afternoon and then hitting the victim with his car.

Jacob Angstadt, 27, was driving a blue 2006 Toyota Matrix with Pennsylvania plates near exit 29B on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway when he allegedly rear ended a 34-year-old man traveling the same direction.

The collision occurred at about 1:42 p.m. on Sunday, police said.

When the victim stopped and got out of his vehicle police said that he snapped a photo of the suspect, allegedly Angstadt, who then tried to run him down with his car.

The victim jumped up on the hood of the Toyota to prevent himself from being run over and the driver accelerated. Police said that the victim rode on the hood for about 100 meters before being thrown from the moving car.
