VIDEO: Suspect wanted in string of armed robberies in Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a suspect wanted in a string of gunpoint robberies in Queens this month, authorities said.

The first incident happened at approximately 6:20 a.m. on Sunday, July 10, at the corner of Metropolitan and Flushing avenues in Maspeth, officials said.

According to officials, a 25-year-old man was walking when the suspect approached and pointed a grey firearm at him and demanded his cell phone.

The victim in fear for his safety gave the suspect his cell phone and wallet containing credit cards.

The suspect fled the scene on foot and was last seen getting into a purple sedan fleeing to parts unknown.

The suspect was observed later that day inside the McDonald's located at 652 Meeker Ave. in Greenpoint using the victim's stolen credit card.

Hours later just before 9 a.m., a 65-year-old woman was at the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and 155th Street in Murray Hill when the suspect approached her from behind and forcibly grabbed her purse off her arm before fleeing in a red car.

The victim sustained pain and swelling to her arm, EMS responded, the victim was treated and released at the scene.

The third incident happened at around 11 a.m. at July 19, when a 59-year-old man was standing at the corner of Maple Avenue and Saull Street in Flushing when he was approached by the suspect who displayed a firearm and stated “Phone, phone, phone, money, money, money," the NYPD said.

The suspect stole the victim's cell phone before fleeing on Maple Avenue on foot towards College Point Boulevard, cops said.

He was last seen getting in a late model Nissan Maxima.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, mustache, short dark hair, 5'8" ft. tall and a stocky build. He was last seen wearing a blue and gray hooded sweat jacket, black sweatpants and sneakers.
