NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – The NYPD released new surveillance footage Wednesday as police search for multiple suspects in more than 40 burglaries at laundromats in Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.
Three to four suspects are wanted in the months-long spree across more than a dozen police precincts.
The suspects have been linked to at least three burglaries in Brooklyn, nine burglaries in the Bronx and 29 burglaries in Queens since March.

They tend to strike in the overnight hours and often enter the businesses by breaking windows, police said. They've stolen coin machines, merchandise, various property and cash from registers, according to cops.

In the most recently reported burglary in Elmhurst on June 24, three thieves broke into a laundromat at Van Kleeck Street and Grand Avenue around 3:15 a.m. and fled with $1,800 and a payment machine containing an undetermined amount of cash, police said.
No injuries have been reported in the burglaries.
The suspects fled the locations in various vehicles with stolen plates, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
