NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — As the U.S. marks its 250th anniversary, there is no better place to witness history than right here in New York City. The five boroughs are celebrating the milestone with a massive lineup of unforgettable events. From an international fleet of tall ships taking over the harbor to historical deep-dives, and massive public art installations, NYC is pulling out all the stops for a celebration 250 years in the making.

July 1: 250th Anniversary Family Activity Day & Concert
The NYPL is hosting a family activity day with arts and crafts, storytimes, and a live concert on the steps with the Young People’s Chorus of New York City. More here.

The Met commemorates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence with a special installation of the roots, course, and aftermath of the Revolutionary War. More here.
