NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — A teenager was arrested Friday in connection with the violent robbery of a 75-year-old woman on a Manhattan sidewalk this week.

Police said a 17-year-old girl was arrested and charged with robbery in connection with the Dec. 21 robbery in front of an apartment building on East 38th Street in Murray Hill.
The incident began around 11:20 p.m. when two unidentified females approached the victim from behind as she walked down the street.
Police said the two assailants grabbed the victim and threw her to the ground and immediately descended upon her, removing an $800 Gucci belt, bank cards, her ID, $10 in cash, an iPhone and Apple AirPods.
The two women then fled the scene on foot.
The suspects were seen on surveillance footage just hours later inside a deli on First Avenue, where they used one of the victim’s bank cards to make an unauthorized purchase.

Authorities did not release the identity of the 17-year-old arrested Friday. They noted that a second suspect is still being sought.
