NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A teen playing with a gun on a Manhattan rooftop was arrested Monday morning after he allegedly shot his friend in the hand, the NYPD told 1010 WINS.
The incident occurred at 8:22 am on the rooftop of a residential building located at 309 east 78 street near Second Avenue on the Upper East Side, officials said.

According to police, the boys, both 18-year-old boys, were playing with the firearm when the victim was shot in the right hand.
The victim was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital for his injury.
Officials arrested the shooter and charges are pending.
A firearm was recovered at the scene, the NYPD said.
An investigation is ongoing.
