NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection to last week's Times Square shooting that left a 21-year-old tourist wounded, according to officials.
Police sources told the New York Post that the teen turned himself into the Midtown South police precinct Wednesday afternoon where he is being questioned.
The teen was later charged with attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment, and criminal possession of a weapon, according to police.
On June 27, Samuel Poulin, 21, was shot in the back at West 45th Street and Seventh Avenue, near the Marriott Marquis, just after 5:15 p.m., according to police.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting weren't immediately known. WABC reported that the victim was a Marine visiting from upstate and that he was not the intended target.
The Marine was visiting New York City from upstate.
