NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police on Tuesday released video footage of a group of suspects wanted for attacking teen boys with tennis rackets during robberies in the Bronx last month.
The first incident happened at approximately 4:11 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, when a 15-year-old boy was walking in the vicinity of Forest Avenue and East 166th Street in Morrisiana.
According to officials, the teen was approached by the group who then began to punch and kick him. The boy was then struck in the face with a tennis racket.
There was no property removed, and the victim refused medical attention.
The second incident happened just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17. A 13-year-old boy was in the vicinity of Intervale Avenue and Kelly Street in Longwood when he was approached by a group.
One of the suspects took the victim's book bag from the ground while another suspect took the victim's sweater off of him and threw a tennis racket, striking him in the face.
The victim refused medical attention.
The suspects fled on foot to parts unknown in both incidents.
