NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A teen boy was grazed by a bullet as a gunman shot at and chased him through a Bronx housing complex over the weekend, police said Thursday.
The 16-year-old victim was walking with two friends on Story Avenue at the Monroe Houses in Soundview around 9 p.m. Sunday when the gunman walked up, according to police.
The gunman opened fire, with one of the bullets grazing the teen's head, police said.
The teen managed to run into 1802 Story Ave., but the gunman followed him inside, according to police.
Surveillance video released by the NYPD shows the gunman running through the building, pistol in hand.
Police said the teen was eventually able to escape. The gunman ran off and is still being sought.
The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he was treated and released.
No other injuries were reported.
