NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 17-year-old girl was hit in the face with a bottle in an apparently random attack in the subway, police said Friday.
The attack happened around 11 p.m. on Feb. 2 inside the Crown Heights/Utica Avenue subway station on the southbound 3 train platform.
According to police, the 17-year-old girl was standing in the station when she was approached by a man.
It is unclear if the two exchanged words, but police said after he approached, the man threw a bottle at the teen in what they say was an unprovoked attack.

The teen victim was hit in the face and suffered swelling and bruising. She refused medical attention at the scene.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect on Friday.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
