NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police launched an investigation after a teenager inside a Staten Island deli was fatally shot in the chest Sunday evening, authorities said.
Just before 5 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a male shot inside the deli located on 20 Westervelt Ave in the St. George neighborhood.

Upon arrival, officials discovered 18-year-old Keondre Adams shot in the chest.
Adams was transported to Richmond University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
It is unclear what led up to the shooting.
There are no arrests and the NYPD is searching for a gunman who fled the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
