The teen mom was arrested Thursday in connection with the death of her 1-day-old son, whose body was found outside of an apartment building on E. 158th Street on Oct. 24 of last year.

Police responding to a 911 call canvassed the area and found the boy in a flowerbed. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

The 911 call came from Lincoln Hospital, where the mom admitted that she gave birth to the infant inside of her apartment and then threw him out of a fifth-floor window into the flowerbed below, police said.

In April, the medical examiner determined the boy was alive before the fall and ruled his death a homicide, leading to this week's arrest of the unnamed teen.
