NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — The NYPD released photos on Saturday of three suspects wanted for stabbing a 15-year-old boy on a Bronx subway platform earlier this week in a botched robbery attempt.
According to police, at about 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, three strangers approached a 15-year-old boy at the 2 and 5 subway platform in Pelham Parkway subway station.

The would-be robbers demanded his property, and when the victim refused, one of the men punched him in the face, officials said.
As he was hit, the 15-year-old was stabbed three times in the buttocks as the suspects tried to grab his belongings from his pockets, authorities said.
The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition.

The trio fled the station in an unknown direction, and are depicted in media released by police.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
