NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Many large retailers and some grocery store chains will be closed on Thanksgiving -- including Target, Walmart, Trader Joe's, Costco and BJ's Wholesale Club -- but there's a lot that are open too.
From grocery stores to dollar stores to department stores, you should find what you're looking for on Thursday if you need to make a brick-and-mortar pit stop. And keep in mind, check with each store for their hours. Hours will vary by location:
Acme Bass Pro Shops: Opens at 8 a.m.; closing time depends on location
Big Lots: 7 a.m. - 1 p.m.
CVS: depends on location
Dollar General: 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Family Dollar: opens at 8 a.m.; closing time varies by location
Fairway: open, but check store for hours
Foodtown: open, but check store for hours
Kmart: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Michaels: 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Old Navy: most stores will open at 3 p.m., check store for closing time
Rite Aid: depends on location
7-Eleven: Most locations 24 hours
ShopRite: 7 a.m. - 10 p.m., but with store
Stop & Shop: 6 a.m. - 3 p.m.; pharmacy will be closed
Walgreens/Duane Reade: depends on location
