
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a woman wanted for allegedly hugging then stealing another woman's wallet inside a Manhattan church earlier this week.
It happened at approximately 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, when the suspect entered the church located at 268 Wadsworth Ave. in Washington Heights and approached the 76-year-old woman, officials said.
The suspect assisted the woman while in the church and proceeded to take her wallet, according to the NYPD.
The suspect was last seen fleeing southbound on foot on Wadsworth Avenue towards West 186th street.
She was last seen wearing a black and white hat and a black jacket.
