
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A thief sicced his dog on a man and then robbed him in the Bronx, police said Wednesday as they released images of the suspect.
The 53-year-old victim was at Villa Avenue and Bedford Park Boulevard in Bedford Park around 6:10 p.m. on Nov. 18 when he was approached by the suspect, who “allowed his dog to bite the victim,” according to the NYPD.
During the dog attack, the suspect rummaged through the victim’s pocket and stole his cellphone before fleeing the area on foot, police said.
The victim declined further medical treatment at the scene.
