Thief steals nearly $14K in merchandise from NYC jewelry store

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD on Friday released photos of a jewel thief accused of stealing nearly $14,000 in merchandise from a Manhattan store earlier this month.

At approximately 4:12 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, the suspect entered Mejuri jewelry store located at 43 Spring St. in Nolita stole merchandise valued at $13,800, officials said.

She then fled on foot, westbound on Spring Street.

There were no injuries reported.

The suspect was last seen wearing a long coat, dark colored pants, white sneakers and a dark colored pocketbook.
