NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two thieves made off with $25,000 worth of timepieces from a Midtown luxury watch store Tuesday night, police said.
According to officials, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the men smashed in the store windows at the Tourneau Jewelers store located at 510 Madison Avenue.
"They just walk up to the plate glass window, and break the window with sledgehammers" and snatched "almost 100 watches," from display cases before fleeing, a police spokesman said.
There were roughly "$25,000 worth of watches stolen," the spokesman added.
The store owner would have to take an inventory to determine the exact number of watches and value.
The suspects were seen fleeing the store in a black Kia Optima.
The high-end store was robbed earlier this year.
On Sept. 14, three thieves targeted the shop around midnight, officials said.
They bust through the front door, shattered display cases and made off with an unknown number of pricey items in two minutes, the NYPD said.
The value of the watches stolen remained unknown, but the store's website shows that many of its pieces cost at least $25,000.
In 2015, a crew of dapper robbers in suits and fedoras smashed open a display case at the store and ran off with dozens of pricey watches.
