NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Thieves broke into the Givenchy store on the Upper East Side early Wednesday, taking an unknown amount of luxury items with them, authorities said.
According to officials, suspects used a hammer to break into the store located at Madison Avenue and East 65th Street just before 5 a.m.
Once inside, the thieves took the merchandise inside the shop, leaving behind empty shelves.
The total amount of merchandise taken is not yet known.
Police found the store's front door smashed and one bag was left behind on the sidewalk.
Officials also recovered a hammer on the ground.
There have been no arrests made and an investigation is ongoing.
