NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The man who allegedly shot and wounded three bystanders, including a 4-year-old girl, in Times Square last month appeared for the first time before a Manhattan judge on Wednesday.
Farrakhan Muhammad, 31, was ordered held without bail after pleading not guilty to charges including attempted murder and assault.
Muhammad was arrested at a McDonald's in Florida on May 12 after U.S. Marshals tracked him to one of the chain's outposts outside of Jacksonville with a woman who is believed to be his girlfriend, the NYPD said.
Muhammad met up with the woman at a hotel on West 42nd Street in Manhattan after he allegedly shot a 43-year-old woman, a 23-year-old woman, and a 4-year-old girl as he was trying to shoot his brother during a dispute in Times Square Saturday evening, according to police and sources.
Muhammad and the woman were spotted on surveillance camera driving through North Carolina after the shooting, the NYPD said.

All three of the shooting victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital and are expected to make full recoveries, the NYPD said.
The woman Muhammad was with when he was arrested is a "person of interest" in the investigation, but has not been arrested, police said.
Police said both Muhammad and his brother were CD vendors who worked in the Times Square area, but didn't provide a motive for the shooting.
The NYPD didn't immediately say what charges he would face. His attorney information wasn't immediately available Wednesday.
