
ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (WCBS 880) -- New Jersey saw a tornado early Thursday morning as part of what was left of Tropical Storm Fred, according to officials.
The National Weather Service confirmed that an EF-0 tornado touched down in Rockaway Township at about 2:30 a.m.
An EF-0 tornado means it brought winds of 65-85 miles per hour.
The NWS did not provided additional information, saying it would have more information about the tornado’s path Friday.
Earlier in the day, the NWS confirmed that two tornados touched down in Pennsylvania late Wednesday and early Thursday.
