NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 30-year-old Belgian tourist was slashed in the face during an unprovoked attack in a Chelsea subway station Saturday morning, according to police.
The tourist was walking down the stairs of the West 23rd Street and Eighth Avenue A/C/E station around 8:43 a.m. when a group of four or five people attacked her, officials said.
One of the people reportedly slashed her face before the group fled.
Emergency responders treated the cut on the scene.
Police have not yet made any arrests and an investigation is ongoing.
