NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A large tractor-trailer with its top scraped off after being stuck on an overpass on the FDR Drive caused major delays on Monday morning.
The truck got stuck near 90th Street at around 2:30 a.m. heading southbound.
All southbound lanes were shut down for hours due to the incident.
Officials offloaded the vehicle and pulled it out from the overpass. They then cleaned up the debris before traffic resumed as normal.
NewsCopter 7 was over the scene as crews worked to get barrels off the tractor-trailer at around 6:45 a.m.
Citizen App video showed the cars slowly passing along the tractor-trailer. Debris was all over the tractor in the overpass.
