NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A trio of Staten Island residents who allegedly fled the scene in a Jaguar after attacking a USPS worker earlier this month have been arrested, police said Thursday.
Ahmad Omar, 22, and Dounia Alrobaee, 23, were arrested and charged with assault and harassment in connection with the attack on Tuesday, the NYPD said.
Michael McLaughlin, 23, was arrested on the same charges on Thursday, police said. All three live on Staten Island, the NYPD said.
Police said the 47-year-old postal service employee was standing in front of a building on Guyon Avenue, near North Railroad Avenue, around 2:20 p.m. on April 7 when Omar, Alrobaee and McLaughlin started arguing with him.
At some point during the dispute, the three began punching the man, police said.
They fled the scene in a Jaguar sedan after the attack, the NYPD said.
The USPS worker was taken to Staten Island University Hospital North in stable condition, police said.
Attorney information for the three Staten Island residents wasn't immediately available Thursday.
