NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A trio of attackers stabbed and punched a man because he was smoking pot in front of a building in Manhattan, according to police and a report.
The 32-year-old man was in front of a building on Broadway, between West 150th and 151st streets in Hamilton Heights, around 3:10 p.m. on Nov. 9 when the three men approached him and started arguing with him, the NYPD said Tuesday.
The men were upset because the 32-year-old was smoking in public, the Daily News reported.
At some point during the dispute, the trio pulled out knives and started stabbing and punching the man, leaving him with cuts and bruises, police said.
The man was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition, the NYPD said. The three attackers fled the scene on foot, police said.
