VIDEO: Trio of thieves steal $4K from Bronx gas station

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Police are searching for a group of thieves accused of stealing $4,000 from a gas station in the Bronx two months ago.

According to authorities, the incident began just before 3 a.m. on Sept. 23 at a Phillips 66 gas station on Soundview Avenue in the Soundview neighborhood.


Three unidentified men entered the location and when an employee went to retrieve something from the back of the store, police said one of the men reached into the teller window and removed $4,000 in cash.

The three then fled the location in a vehicle. No injuries were reported.

The first suspect is described as having a medium complexion and was last seen wearing a red baseball hat, black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.

The second is also described as having a medium complexion and was last seen wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes.

The third suspect had a dark complexion and was wearing a white t-shirt, black hooded sweatshirt, gray pants and black sneakers.
