NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A pickup truck driver struck and killed a man crossing a street near the TKTS booth in Times Square on Friday morning, police said.

The victim, believed to be in his 40s, was crossing Seventh Avenue at West 47th Street just before 6:30 a.m. when he was hit by the driver of a Ford pickup.

The driver, a 49-year-old man, was making a left turn onto Seventh Avenue when he struck the victim, according to police.

The victim suffered trauma to his head and body, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and has not yet been identified.

The driver remained at the scene. No arrests have been reported.
